Why append rather than overwriteCommission and coaching both attach to who held the rep at the time, not who holds them now. The first question after a disputed run is who was managing that rep in September, and a column cannot answer it.
The unassigned manager is a live decisionThat rep is cold calling today with nobody to escalate to, so every question she has routes to you regardless of what this screen says. The portal records the assignment once it is made and keeps the gap visible until then.
